DATA PROCESSING PURPOSES, LEGAL BASIS AND LEGITIMATE INTERESTS

Accessing the Website

When you visit the website, the browser used on your device automatically sends information to the server on our website and temporarily stores it in a so-called log file.

For technical reasons, the following information is recorded without any action on your part and stored by the web server until it is automatically deleted:

  • the operating system of the user,
  • browser type and version used,
  • the IP address of the requesting device,
  • the date and time of access,
  • the name and URL of the file called up,
  • the website that directed the access (referrer URL).

The legal basis for the temporary storage of the data and the log files is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The legitimate interest results from the purposes of data collection listed below. No direct conclusions about your identity are possible from the data collected and we will not draw them.

The IP address of your device and the other data listed above are used for the following purposes:

  • Ensuring a smooth connection establishment,
  • Ensuring comfortable use of the website,
  • Evaluation of system security and stability.

The data will only be saved as long as necessary and will then be automatically deleted.

Online Application Process

If you use the online application form offered on our website and provide us with your data and files, this personal data will only be processed and used for the purpose of processing your online application. If the application for a job offer is unsuccessful, Inform GmbH, based in Germany, 64347 Griesheim, Im Leuschnerpark 4, will save the transmitted data and files for six months in its applicant database, so that we can answer any questions you may have about your application at a later date. Your data will not be passed on to other third parties. The data and files will be deleted after six months.

You can withdraw your application at any time. If you withdraw your application, your data and files in the applicant bank will be deleted immediately. The transmission of your data entered in the online application process and further processing by us will only take place after your active declaration of consent in the form, with the processing of your data in accordance with this data protection declaration and thus on basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. An informal e-mail to the person responsible is sufficient for this. The legality of the data processing operations carried out before the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation. The data you enter in the personal form will be stored by us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data processing no longer applies (i.e., after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Additionally, we use the following on our website

  • Cookies
  • Google Analytics
  • Social-Media-Plugins

When you visit the website again, the server recognizes the text file, provided that the cookie has a lifespan that extends beyond the one-time visit, thereby facilitating navigation and making our website highly user-friendly. The respective lifespan of our cookies is selected so that we can guarantee you the best possible usability of our website. You can see this in the settings of your browser.

Cookies also help us to identify particularly interesting areas of our website. In this way, we can tailor the content of our website to your needs and thus improve our offer for you. Cookies can still be used to determine whether your computer has already communicated with our website. Only the cookie on your computer is identified.

Most browsers are set in a way that they automatically accept cookies. You can deactivate or restrict the transmission of cookies by changing the settings in your internet browser. Cookies that have already been saved can be deleted at any time. Depending on the setting you have chosen, functionalities of the website may not be usable or only to a limited extent.

The legal basis for the processing of personal data using cookies is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Google Analytics (with anonymization function)

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer, that enable your use of the website to be analyzed. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The full IP address will only be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there in exceptional cases. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

We only use the data in accordance with Section 15 (3) TMG for the purposes of advertising, market research and to tailor the website and seminar bookings to your needs. The pseudonymous data cannot be traced back to the bearer of the usage profile.

We have concluded an order processing contract with Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, which ensures that personal data is processed exclusively within Europe in accordance with our instructions.

IP anonymization (IP mask method) is activated on our website, which automatically anonymizes the IP address.

Further information on Google Analytics and data protection can be found on the website https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly.

You can also object to the use of Google Analytics here via an opt-out cookie. A pop-up window opens that sets the opt-out cookie. If you delete the opt-out cookie in the browser, the usage behavior will be saved again. Deactivate the collection of data by Google Analytics for this website.

You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser add-on available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

Use of Social Media Plugins

We currently use the following social media plug-ins: [Facebook, Twitter].

In the case of Facebook, after specifying the provider in Germany, the IP address is anonymized immediately after it is collected. By activating the plug-in, personal data will be transmitted from you to the respective plug-in provider and stored there (for US providers in the USA). Since the plug-in provider collects data in particular via cookies, we recommend that you delete all cookies using the security settings of your browser before clicking on the grayed-out box.

We have no influence on the collected data and data processing operations, nor are we aware of the full scope of the data collection, the purposes of processing, the storage periods and information on the deletion of the data collected by the plug-in provider.

The plug-in provider saves the data collected about you as a user profile and uses this for advertising, market research and / or needs-based design of its website. Such an evaluation takes place in particular (also for users who are not logged in) to display needs-based advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, although you must contact the respective plug-in provider to exercise this right. Via the plug-ins, we offer you the opportunity to interact with social networks and other users, so that we can improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user. The legal basis for the use of the plug-ins is Article 6 (1) (p.1) (f) GDPR.

The data is passed on regardless of whether you have an account with the plug-in provider or are logged in there. If you are registered with the plug-in provider, your data collected by us will be assigned directly to your existing account with the plug-in provider. If you press the activated button and for example, if you link the page, the plug-in provider will also save this information in your user account and share it publicly with your contacts. We recommend that you log off regularly after using a social network, but especially before activating the link, so that you can avoid being assigned to your profile with the plug-in provider.

Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by the plug-in provider can be found in the data protection declarations of these providers, which are provided below. There you will also find further information on your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy.
